Lesson learned: Call to check stock availability

So, month two of waiting for my pump to arrive by mail from Harbor Freight.
They were kind, they sent a letter to the billing address explaining the delay, but I'm at the shipping address right now, not the billing, so it took a couple weeks before I got the letter.
They estimate the product will arrive at the warehouse soon, then it will possibly be another two weeks before it arrives.
It would have been worth the extra money to order the thing directly from the manufacturer in China.
Lesson learned call to see if it's in stick first, and double the time expected for a back order!
