My first lighted laminar nozzle Empty My first lighted laminar nozzle

Hey everyone. This week I decided to attempt making one of these.  I got a lot of good info off this site that I applied to my build.  Here are the details:

2-inch inner diameter, 6" length PVC.  Packed inside are around 150 2-inch length coffee stirrers surrounding 1 bubble tea straw used for a fiber optic channel.  Fiber optics light the flow and were sourced from a $7 fiber optic lamp from a toy store.  Nozzle tapers to razor edge 1/4-inch orfice milled into a PVC test plug by Advanced Machine and Tooling in Virginia Beach.  Nozzle is powered by a Jebao PP333LED pump w/ LED.  Flow is tangential and slowed by a stack of 3 scouring pads before it reaches the stirrers.  Flow is a little less than a foot long using a 66GPH pump.  Let me know if you have any questions!

that is a nice start Smile

You already have light inside it Very Happy

a tip from me, the bigger the diameter is the better it is!
it`s not important to have the nozzle longer.

Thanks!  I'm trying to reach a flow length of at least 2-feet and the most powerful pump I can find that includes a waterproof LED is 118GPH.  So the diameter will remain the same and hopefully the higher output pump can push the flow out to my desired distance.

In the mean time, here are some pics of the build.
