Here is another 20minutes DIY project for some indoor laminar nozzles Smile

I let the pictures talk:

The nozzle work perfect Smile
A tiny cute little nozzle, running on a 12volt DC pump from a computer.
The only problem is that the pump is to small, I did run it at 20volt to have the arc as long that I wanted.
So I now need to search eBay for a bigger 12volt pump cheers

It's so cute! How's the dimension of that? Do you use the same type of straw and do you intense to embed light?

Hi, thanx for the reply Smile

I not so sure about the sizes, as you can see on the pictures, it`s like 2-4" long.
2" in diameter i guess Smile

I have a tiny sponge in the bottom, and the same straws as we usually use.

I think it`s fun and quite learning to make this small laminar nozzles.
As you as usually get the same errors\problems with the small ones that you get on the big ones !

For an example, I first had drilled a hole on the top with a drill = Terrible water output !!
Now I have a metal brass ring = perfect output

Did remove the sponge in the bottom = Terrible output on the water, no laminar at all !!
Now I have 1-2 layer of sponge in the bottom = Perfect laminar output ..

And yes I will place one 5mm LED inside the nozzle to have light effect Smile

I hope the design can be so "ok" that I can have them in my living room...

Love them... What is the stream diameter and have you tried to up the pressure to get a larger
arc without the stream falling apart?

Thanks Ken

Hi, thanx for the reply Smile

The stream diameter is 5mm.
I did use a regular metal ring from a hardware store Wink

I can have a higher pressure, and make the beam travel about 5-6" high, ore I can tilt them and make it travel 7-8" away..
But it seems like a higher beam, and shorter distance make the water more stable .

I also not want the water to splash, if the water start to splash it goes on the floor Rolling Eyes

I also have made a small low-pass filter tank..
What can have been better is to maybe have a drilled brass ring (sharper edge) and better air-tank to remove pump jitter.
