upside down installation
Hi there,
Perhaps en stupid stupid question but what happens when you install the whole system upsidedown? (whithout pump)
I dont think its gonna work but is there a way to work that out?
I want a number of perfect vertical waterjets to create a nice visual light effect in my office:D
Forgive me if there are some grammaticale errors in this topic, I'm from Holland.

I have thought about that!
In fact i want to do it myself, but i was thinking in a 12meter perfect cilindrical drop! in the top, i belive the best would be to have a funil shape, but ROUNDED, falling acording to the speed of gravity or some mathematical parabolic equasion considering the facts! IT is doable ! would have to have a 3'' output in my case... and it would get in the ground with a fair amount of speed, i havent found any video or picture about it...

The first problem I was thinking about is the first stage where the water enters the cilinder.
In case of upside down installation, the water wants to go down + the pressure of the pump.
This way I'm afraid the water will not rotate unless you adapt the filter layers.
Perhaps more filters or more permeable filters will do the trick.
I think the key is to keep the rotation of the water the same like a oblique situation.
To influence or stear the water flow ,you can use a threaded chamber, where the water enters.
What do you think about these theories.

There should be no problem mounting a laminar jet up-side down !
But the water tank must be on the floor level, if not the nozzle will drain out all the water ?
