Chemicals to use
To date I have been using a swimming pool type filter pre nozzle to filter out debris etc. This has a very fine mesh. I have found recently that this is blocking fairly quickly and reducing output probably because of very fine organic matter. I am wondering if some sort of algicide would cure the problem. Anybody any thoughts?

Re: Chemicals to use
I run my fountain off the line from the swimming pool output. So the chemicals are the basic ones needed
to maintain the Ph, Alkalinity and Chlorine - very little if ever - need for an algicide.
You could pick up a basic pool startup kit and dose the water according to the number of gallons flowing
through your system.
