Hi: I work as a sound recordist at Skywalker Ranch in Marin County, CA. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me make an audio recording of their laminar fountain, as we have one featured in a film we're working on. It would take maybe 30 minutes.

The sound I mean to record is the jet of water entering a pool or other body. That shape and quantity of water, the pressure and type of impact it has as it hits another source of water is very specific. Also, I have a contact mic that will pick up any sub-audible vibrations or flow from the nozzle.

My nozzle is broken right now, but even if it were working I don't have any quality sound recording equipment. I doubt anyone here does.

Hey John and Hoarp:

I have my own quality audio equipment, and am looking for anyone in California (ideally northern) who I could travel to.
I figured if there are forums dedicated to Laminar projects, surely Cali would be represented in there somewhere.
