Look at this cutter I got
I know its cheating that it is prebuilt but it was too good pass up.
Oh if any one likes these I have some more.
Does any body have any suggestions on modifying the cutter blades.

Why do you need to modify the blades? You might just want to try it as it and see?
Re: Look at this cutter I got
What were these cutters originally used for?
What is the over-all size?
How many do you have? And how much would you want for one?
Thanks!

these are cutters for a moving light (Shutters very fast) I think I have about 6 of the mounted ones and have all kinds of steppers, blades and different configurations. They are approximately 6"x6"x3".
I will be at work tomorrow and and get a little more info 8/25

It is 6 1/4"x57/8" x2" the 2 " is to the bottom of the stepper motor then the mounting bracket hangs down another 1/2" . the price is 50$
I will be building mine this month so I will let you know how it works. I do have the pcb boards to go with them but I have to figure out how that all works.

Wow that is some nice cutter !!
It is designed for light ?
Do you think it can handle water ?
I wonder how that "design" would work on a water jet... hmm

Re: Look at this cutter I got
The lower blade will be pushed against the upper blade by the water jet. I can not predict what will happen then. The cuts in the blade will soften this effect, I guess.
Re: Look at this cutter I got
I'm going to have to seal it of with plexi to withstand the water just like Marios.
and possibly reinforce the blades

Re: Look at this cutter I got
Hi, wow, what a nice cutter! Cant wait to see a test, When i first tested it, i use a lot of scotch tape to protect from water, that is ok for some tests. Try to put some grease around the motor axis between the opening, that pritect from water splashing too.
Good Luck ...
