starting with a 3 inch nozzle
Hi , I am looking forward to share a lot of new experience with all of you. In the summer of last year (2008), I have started experiments with a 7 cm (3 inch) nozzle after seeing the famous Youtube movie about a 15 $ nozzle. I have also cretaed a small webpage with the results in Dutch. This summer, I continued the experiments with the use of aluminium and a better packaging of the straws. The webpage has been updated, but is still in Dutch. However, I think that you can appreciate the pictures. laminar water jets
The picture before the last one shows the effect of pouring a little soup in the water. I think that we (my son helps me) have reached almost the best possible result with a 3 inch nozzle. The next step will be the introduction of a low-pass filer.

Re: starting with a 3 inch nozzle
about 6 feet wide and 3 feet high. We haven't tested yet what the maximum height could be.
