Chinese laminar nozzle
Hi all. We made a laminar nozzle after a chinese design we found a while back.
Here it is:
https://i.servimg.com/u/f34/17/74/80/13/dsc_0910.jpg
Inside it's all foam. It also has a 24v led cut into the foam and a stepper motor cutter which works quite well.

It comes with a submerged pump (7m, 1m^3/hr, it's what we had).
It's supposed to reach 7 meters, but it failed. I admit - we have some wind up on the building roof, but even without it... no go.
It's currently in modifications and perhaps will yield a better result.
One thing you can't see in the picture and is interesting - is the water inlet they designed.
Water comes in at mid height on the cylinder. The cylinder itself is double walled so the water runs between the inner and outer wall and comes into the cylinder itself at the bottom.
There's no directing water like you guys do with straws or screens (and we will do shortly to), there's just slowing it down some so it's laminar which doesn't seem enough.
That's it for now. We'll see how it works after modification next week !!
Gal.

Re: Chinese laminar nozzle
what a great build
any videos of it in action, is there a cutter on it also?
